The Story: Because where of where I live on San Bruno avenue , sometimes there is no parking. I had to park my car between two houses driveways. I promise my car was not blockign the driveway. The citizen called DPT had my car towed away. I had to pay 500.00 just to get my car back and he put a a 90.00 ticket on the windsheild - of course "Can Not Read" is in VIN.

Please, do not block red zones. I realize that parking is really difficult in the city but you have figure out a way. I'm a resident and pay $400 a month for a tandem garage. I'm not rich and $400 represents a huge part of my budget but my job requires me to drive. Since I live off a busy street, I paid the city $350 to red tip my really narrow driveway. This means that both sides of my driveway have a "no parking" red zone that is 1ft long. Without the red tips, the driveway is impossible to get out of. If you park right at the edge of my driveway I would have to drive across 4 busy lanes of traffic because I would need to go in at a perfect angle to get into the driveway. Even with the red tips, I still can't make a right into the driveway because the angle is too tight. Also, without the red zones I have to again cross 4 lanes of busy traffic not only going in reverse but with zero visibility with me trying to get out of my driveway and the drivers on the street. Of course the driveways in the city are super narrow. This means that most driveways need red zones around the driveways. And yes, I still have problems with people parking into the red zone. I've lost so much money because I can't get my car out of the driveway in the mornings that it's ridiculous. Please, please, don't park in red zones!
