The Story: I am constantly being harassed by this DPT Officer with the badge number 0206 and initials of N.W. I clearly know that sidewalk parking is illegal; however, I live in Bayview-Hunter's Point (which is a pretty violent neighborhood) and when there is no parking outside my house I tend to park on the sidewalk (just like all of my neighbors). Just a couple of weeks ago I received another ticket from this DPT Officer for parking on the sidewalk at 3 am! The thing that pissed me off was that there was another car parked right across the street from my address without any citation. Evidently, this DPT Officer is targeting my address. Because of this DPT Officer, my other car has already been towed and I'm never going to see it again. This is harassment and I will not tolerate it. There are HUNDREDS of cars parked on the sidewalk just a block away from my house; why are they not being tagged? I even spoke with S.F.P.D Officers and they said they completely understand why I park on the sidewalk close to my home. They told me to protest the citation, which I did, but I didn't win. I'm going for an administrative hearing; hopefully these robots at SFMTA will gain a heart and stop this nonsense.
